Established on 21 November 1994, the Singapore People’s Party (SPP) is a political party that has Singapore’s long-term interests at heart. It is determined to uphold parliamentary democracy in Singapore.

SPP strives to improve the lives of Singaporeans by providing constructive ideas and recommending sound policies in Parliament as it upholds democracy, peace, progress, equality and justice in its policy making process. By doing so, we ensure the government live up to its responsibilities and promises. We hold the government accountable to you and ensure good governance.

SPP wholeheartedly believes in the unity of the opposition parties and commits itself wholly to such a cause. We believe that a strong united opposition front will bring about maximum effectiveness and benefits to Singaporeans. The SPP hopes to see a two-party system eventually emerging in Singapore. Only under such a political system can Singaporeans be assured of a truly democratic society as well as more check and balance for an accountable and transparent government.
