Jee Say’s article talked about the possibility of a non-PAP coalition government and emphasised that there is nothing to fear about a coalition government. The SPP supports opposition unity and is not averse to being part of a coalition government. We are committed to doing our best for Singapore whether we are the alternative, the incumbent or as part of a coalition.

In response to the letter from Miss Ooi Hui Mei, “Why opposition MPs can’t be advisers to grassroots bodies”, 31st August 2011. The People’s Association (PA) was explicitly created to blur the line between Government and the PAP, to consolidate the PAP’s grip on power.
