With reference to the 30% pay cut for re-hired teachers (ST 4 Aug 11, Page A4), the SPP stands in solidarity with the Singapore Teachers’ Union in opposing this move.  Re-hired teachers should be given their due even as Singaporeans benefit from their experience and continued labour.
